Christopher C. Hedrick, 60, of LaPorte Indiana went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ, and many family members on August 8, 2018.  Chris was born October 23, 1957 to Jackie Columbus Hedrick and Lorene (Warden) Godbey.  He graduated from Whiteland High School in 1974 and enlisted in the U.S Army, serving from 1974-1978 with an honorable discharge.  He continued his education at Ball State University, receiving an Associates Degree.

Chris loved helping others and giving of his time and talents. Chris’s loves were his family, church family, and music. His love of children was demonstrated by his incredibly diverse voice as a master puppeteer. As a 19 year worship team member, he sang and played the drums as well as many other instruments.  Chris, we will carry your always smiling face, generous spirit and humor with us.

Chris is survived by his stepfather, Monte L. Godbey (Angie); sisters, Jackie L. Davis(William), Lori A Hale (Bart); and brother, Kirk M. Hedrick(Laura). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie C Hedrick; mother, Lorene Godbey; sister, Karen Sorley; nieces, Amanda and Katelynn Martin; and cousin, Jason Watson.

There will be a military service on August 31st, 1 pm @ Marion National Cemetery in Marion IN.  Celebration of life with dinner immediately following at the Roseburg Event Center in Marion, IN.
